Dangerous Housing Precedent!
In today’s post, I will share with you an opinion piece about what has recently happened in Oakland, California.
If you aren’t familiar with the “Moms 4 Housing” Story, then you probably have had a life! This story has been buried on the back pages of the front sections of most papers across the United States.
In short, a group of homeless mothers in Oakland decided to “occupy” a local vacant home without permission.
In Tucson, we call that “Squatting” or “Adverse Possession”; and it’s a violation of our civil code.
However, in Oakland California, it is apparently a protected method of home acquisition.
Affordable Housing Doesn’t Abrogate Personal Rights
